As much as I want some of those changes to be real, they're not. I am used to sleeve most of my games, but I always sleeve games that have big decks. I would not do this one at 6 with them until they were extremely familiar with the game. The biggest problem with this idea is that its not backwards compatible with the base and other expansion,  which seems very unlike Stonemaier games. Especially S3, that seems like an interesting mechanism that could add a little more strategy to the game. I've never considered using sleeves. I have no idea! I have#Dominion: Intrigue (Second Edition) in addition to the base game and the sleeved cards straight up do not fit in the insert. :). For us, these variants just swing the game in the directions we like most. I have no idea how they would work or what they would do but I can see either/both of those being viable options given the theme. I think this Oceania expansion is more substantial in terms of gameplay differences, probably mainly due to the new player mats. My guess is another environment for each of the existing 5 player boards adding either Ocean and/or Deserts. I can't imagine regretting purchasing this game so I'm glad you found ways to enjoy it more! I would only consider sleeving this because of the quality of the cards but to be completely honest I don't think they get shuffled enough to warrant it. If I get this I might have to find a way to display them both. Mine is sleeved. I used the purple-labelled FFG sleeves (Wingspan is the first game I've seen in ages that needs those, usually I've used the grey-labelled ones for all my other games).
