The kids are being forced to steal by a group of thieves who have one of their friends and their protector, Anta, hostage. Track the horseman, whose location may be moving. He complains that his notes have been stolen. He awakens and speaks with Corteseos. There is no marker (on the compass or the map) until you get really close (like 2 other quests, The Bride and Loose Cargo), look for a small camp in between the buildings by the one with the hole in the roof. She will lead you out of the tomb then turn right and head up the sand embankment to the children, who explain that a horseman took off with the notes heading towards Khufu’s pyramid. He runs off. Inside the cavern, in addition to a number of hostile bandits, you’ll also find Anta who is also not what you were expecting. Climb down until you reach a convenient ledge, then aim an arrow at the oil vases near the grouped bandits. Drop down and remove each of the spools to balance the two platforms and then carry one of the spools up the stairs and place it on the other platform to lower it. From the high ridge, snipe the bandits in the canyon below before climbing down to ground level and then follow the path into the mountain.
