On driving times, we found last year that we did not make good time once we left the Trans Canada Highway. We are interested primarily in easy hiking, scenic drives, and staying in hotels/inns/b&bs, not camping. The secondary highways were good. In Gros Morne, we are staying at Neddie's Harbour Inn which is lovely, but if we were to come again, we would spend a couple nights on the south end of the park and a couple nights here. The fine dining restaurant is under construction so the hotel alternates between fine dining menu and casual fare on different nights of the week so just a heads up.
